Tate On a Board
Tate and I went snowboarding (each of us for the first time ever) yesterday. There was a lot of falling. A lot of soreness in the tailbone. But, at the end of the day, we were able to take the Sunshine train around the back side of Wild Mountain, where this shot was taken. It's good to see Tate finally smiling on her snowboard...

That's the kids' snow fort in the background. It's about six feet tall. It doesn't look so scary when you dump two feet of snow around it. The wind did a pretty good job of smoothing out the yard - and burying last night's snow-blowing work. Tonight, it's back to the grindstone, I guess.

I take this same shot every year, it seems. Heavy snow, followed by a sunny morning, turning the area behind the mound into a snow tunnel. I'm a sucker for this shot.
